As a mom of three I was not looking forward to returning to work after my maternity leave was over. I thought of many different ways to remain at home but none were going to really pay the bills -- but neither was spending $80+ a day on daycare on the off days my oldest wasn't in school.
I also was trying to find a way to keep the clothing exchange program alive as it was a great program that didn't include/disclude people as to their income level. It's premise was simple -- you have clothes you don't need bring them in and take what you can use from what others have brought in.
Then one day I saw the local childrens store was closing and all the pieces fell into place. I had kids and lots of kids stuff, our home had commercial zoning, I could be a 'work from home mom' and hopefully the consignment side of the business will carry ther bills while still being able to have a clothing exchange for those that really need it.
I am always looking for new consignees and donations to the 'green tag' clothing program. If you are interested in either program please drop into the store or send me an e-mail for more information.
